The Porch

This was gross too..

It had been (badly) built onto the side of the house, was freezing cold with a rough concrete floor, rough concrete walls, plastic ceiling, and the old blue! front door.

First impressions for Visitors... ...Gross!

A new tiled floor went down first. Then new hardwood door. Then for the mess.

I ripped out the ceiling and left it open exposing the beams. New switches to low-voltage lighting, (plus outside lights while was there), and the doorbell moved to outside!
I then plastered the upper half of of the walls, all round the windows and doors and right up to the underside of the roof and wood panelled the bottom half.

The porch now felt that it was part of the house, and not some out-building leaning over the front door.
