The Boundary Wall

Did you test the boundary wall when you bought your house? No. Nor me. But I will certainly test the next one!

The front half of the wall was made up of tall thin brick pillars, in between broken old fencing. The pillars were loose and the fencing was rotten. One push and the whole lot would have fallen into next door.
The bottom half was mix-n-match, any-one-can-patch fencing, in bright blue.
And drainage? Well, the water was expected to run 'up' the hill and jump onto the pavement. That was once it had fought its way through the sand-filled pipes...

It all had to go.

"Bad Workmanship" - said the Insurance....

"Two Grand" - said the builder...

So I built a whole new wall, nearly 60 foot long, on over 8 different levels. (The old blue fencing was mighty useful for holding wet cement in place!)
